I work with women writers to help them transform the stories of their heart into words on the page.
Just like you, I’m a writer—one who knows the triumphs and trials of the creative journey. I’m also a bibliophile, an epistemophile, and a passionate guide to the writing process and creative living.
Most days you’ll find me researching my latest novel with a cup of double bergamot Earl Grey and my golden retriever at my feet; curled up with a dreamy magical realism or transportive historical read; or wandering parks and wooded paths with a thought-provoking non-fiction in my ears. Whether I’m reading, writing, listening, or watching, I’m always drawn to women’s stories—those forgotten, reimagined, or newly invented.
Beyond books, I’ve a fair hand for herbal remedies, love to plant a garden (if not always tend it), live for a freshwater swim on hot summer days or a crackling fire as the snow flies, dream of someday learning fibre arts or book binding, have more wanderlust than time or money, and cooking is my love language. The bedrock, birch trees, blueberries and crystal waters of the Canadian Shield are imprinted on my heart as home.

This work is deeply personal to me. As personal as your story is to you.
Almost ten years ago, I spent six months rehabilitating from an injury. As the mother of two young boys, it was the first time I wasn’t running the daily rhythms of our family. Maybe it was the mental space or maybe the pain meds, but a novel poured out of me almost faster than I could capture it in words. It was magical.
By the end of the year, I had a 200,000 word (!) family saga and no idea what to do next.
Like many new authors, I made the mistake of polishing sentences without deepening the story. I sent my manuscript out for evaluation, hoping for guidance, and instead received a laundry list of strengths and weaknesses but no clear way forward. Overwhelmed, I tucked the book away. Not because I didn’t believe in my story or myself as a writer, but because I’d lost sight of its heart.
Years later, while taking a course to inform our homeschool, a coach asked, “What are you doing to model passion-led learning for your children?” I thought of my book, of my kids asking each day how many words I’d written, of their little ears listening in as friends discussed my characters. In that moment, two truths landed:
First, I’d let fear and uncertainty keep me from honing my craft.
Second, I had to finish my novel.
So I threw myself into study and practice, writing every day. At first, it was to show my sons what it means to chase a dream with grit and determination. Later, it became all for me—because I could no longer imagine my life without writing. Because story had become essential.
That’s why I coach. Because I know the magic of beginning, the despair of getting lost, the courage it takes to return, and the victory of carrying a story all the way through.
This is my story—I can’t wait to hear yours!
All of this—my training, experience, and passion for story—shapes the way I coach. When we work together, you’ll have a partner who brings both craft expertise and a deep respect for your voice, vision, and creative journey.

In my own writing practice, there's one tarot card I return to again and again: the Six of Wands.
This card symbolizes victory, recognition, and self-confidence. In The Wild Unknown Tarot, a butterfly rises above a tangle of dark wands. Her flight isn’t effortless—it’s earned. She’s pushed through chaos and doubt, and now she soars.
For me, that image captures the writing journey: one moment you’re flying clear, the next you’re caught in tangles of stalled drafts and self-doubt. But with perseverance—and the right support—you rise. You regain momentum. You remember why you started and find a path forward.
The Six of Wands is less about external applause than the inner triumphs that matter most: the scene you thought you couldn’t write, the chapter you finally finish, the moment your story takes shape. It’s about building confidence and celebrating progress, even in the quiet victories no one else sees.
I created Six of Wands Book Coaching to help writers:
✨ keep going when the tangles feel heavy
✨ rise above doubt and rediscover confidence
✨ celebrate victories—big and small
✨ and never feel alone in the process.
Your book deserves to soar. And so do you.
